Amazing weekend at the wintergreen Chalet. Dave was super communicative, available, and upfront leading up to and during our trip. Great space and area for our group of 12. Would recommend and return here again.

Our group had a wonderful time staying at the Wintergreen Chalet! Everyone told me they felt it exceeded their expectations and that it was even better in person than the photos. Dave was also very prompt in responding to any questions that I had which helped make our stay even more enjoyable. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others!

Our family of 13 women enjoyed our stay in Wintergreen. The weather was perfect and the leaves were just turning. The home easily accommodated our group, and the large living room and dining room allowed us to enjoy special meals and time together. Several of us enjoyed the hot tub! The view going up to and down from the home were amazing!

Large, comfortable house with everything you need. Loved that we were one with the woods. Beautiful large deck, lots of places to relax and enjoy. Perfect getaway house for large families or friends who want to enjoy the mountains.

More spacious then you imagine. Great hot tub. Guests can have nice privacy because the rooms are spread out over three floors. We would stay there again.

Our family really enjoyed our stay here. With a large group and many working from home, the kitchen was well stocked, there were lots of spots to work from home and get privacy for calls, and we all loved the hot tub, which was very clean and nice. The house was well stocked for kids and had two pack n plays, a high chair and a crib; we also enjoyed the good selection of board games in the house. The beautiful woods surrounding the house gave privacy and were quite peaceful. The dining room table was huge, which was great for our big group. I was initially a bit worried about the host’s arduous contracting process; however, I do think the unique policies (like no shoes in the house), have made this a very nice rental.

We had a bad experience at our first BNB and when I contacted this host he was able to get us into the house that day. He was very quick to respond to any of our needs and gave us a lot of information to make sure we had a great stay. The house was neat, clean and tidy. It had a lot of great communal spaces, a great kitchen and a wonderful deck and hot tub. We would stay at this location again.

Great place for a family trip. We didn’t explore the resort much due to COVID, but the house was great for a stay in trip.

House easily accommodates 14 people. Large kitchen. Two large dining areas. Plenty of restrooms. Closet storage good. The entry/utility room does become a bit crowded when there are a lot of skiers in the group. Could use more space for skis-wet gear. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there - great space for family and kids.

The property is clean, well maintained and has a great view off the back deck. Check-in was smooth, and the location is easy to navigate. The kitchen was spacious and the downstairs offered our teens a great space to hang. We've stayed in about 15 different places in Wintergreen and this property is easily one of the best!

We had a few issues about housekeeping and maintenance but they were addressed immediately when we reported it. The house is very nice and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay!

We enjoyed our stay at Wintergreen Chalet and would recommend it to others. We love hiking and then cooking up great meals for our family to enjoy. The large dining room table was an especially nice spot for all of us to gather at meal time and to linger afterwards.

If you are looking for adventure in the mountains here is your spot! You are really literally removed from city life and can genuinely relax. We hiked for miles on end, we saw some amazing landmarks like the Natural Bridge, Luray Caverns, and Crabtree Falls, and well as took in some pretty scenic views as well as copious amounts of wildlife. The owner Dave is amazing and prompt to answer any and all questions. We truly had an amazing time and our entire party enjoyed our stay at Wintergreen! We could recommend it hands down to any adventure seeking family!

Our family of 12 enjoyed another year at the Wintergreen Chalet. Since the men do all the cooking during the week it's great to have a large kitchen. Additionally, the dining room is one of our favorite places to share a meal and catch up with one another. We will be back... The Dunham Family

We had a wonderful time staying at this property! Plenty of space for our family gathering. Beautiful views!! Relaxed, hiked, played games, did a puzzle, enjoyed every minute!

My wife and I hosted her 40th birthday here. We had about 15 people and the house accommodated us all nicely. Lovey views and the hot tub was nice. The owner was quick to respond when we had a small electrical issue and he sent someone right over. I hope to stay here again.

We had a group of 14 in the house for a weekend of local wine and brewery tours. It was spacious and peaceful. The owner was also very good about sharing details on where to go and how to make the most of your stay at Wintergreen. You can't go wrong staying here! We hope to come back soon!

This year I was very Lucky my children took us to Wintergreen Chalet to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary. The house is very beautiful and accommodated my whole family. There was plenty of room so that no one got into anyone's way. The Chalet is at the top of a beautiful mountain but the driveway could get a little tricky. The resort it self is about a 15 minute ride down the mountain and is very lovely. They offered entertainment for the whole family. The kids loved the Budgie, Zip line and tubing. The restaurants were very good and the kids loved the lake which is about 35 minutes away.The kids brought Bikes but could not ride as the mountains were too high.The fireworks display on the 4th was spectacular. On the way to the lake there are several breweries and a winery. I believe the one we liked was the Wild Wolf Brewery it was located in an old School House and the Brewery itself was very picturesque and the food was excellent. Try the Beer batter fried Orieo's for desert. If you like sight seeing within an hour there are several places to visit. We went to Monticello and the Natural Bride and Foam Hedge. A wonderful time was had by all. Beautiful House in a Beautiful Country.

This place is great! Everything was exactly as advertised, and there were no surprises. There's plenty of space to spread out - we had a full house but the place is so large that sometime we had to go looking for each other. The bedrooms are large and very comfortable. And the hot tub was an extra, really-nice-to-have amenity. Sometimes you're not really sure what you're gonna get when you rent a house from a web site, but this place did not disappoint! We would love to stay here again the next time we're in the area.

We wanted a nice, comfortable place for our family to stay together during the long weekend of graduation ceremonial events at the University of Virginia. We thought individual rooms stretched out in a Charlottesville hotel would be impersonal. The Wintergreen Chalet was the perfect choice for us. We had plenty of room and our every need was met, including a relaxing dip in the sparkling clean hot tub at the end of a long day of pomp and circumstance! The owner has done a fantastic job- it is better in reality than it is on the picture, which is rare with rentals. One thing that jumps out is the QUALITY of the things in the house, especially two spectacular tv's. the wine openers are nice, glasses are nice, there's no cheapy stuff that you usually see in rentals. Winter views are beautiful, not so sure in summer! loved it RT
